The Royal Navy's survey ship HMS Enterprise will be decommissioned this month, after completing 20 years of service.
The survey vessel is set to be decommissioned at the end of March, following the same path as her sister ship HMS Echo, which was decommissioned in 2022.
HMS Enterprise wrote on social media: "Big news: 20 years after being launched, Enterprise is following in its sister ship's footsteps by being decommissioned at the end of this month.
"To prepare to say goodbye we've got a number of events coming up, starting with an affiliates and families day this weekend."
The Echo class survey ship is manned by Royal Navy personnel who are experts in examining and mapping the seafloor.
With a crew of 50 on board, the ship conducts oceanographic and hydrographic surveys, ensures safe navigation on and under the water, and acts as a floating base, or 'mothership', for mine countermeasures activities.
The vessel will continue to perform her current role until the end of the month.
