Chris Howe was a 25 year old Petty Officer on HMS Coventry and was badly burnt in the attack. Forty years on, he spoke to Forces News about that traumatic day aboard the Royal Navy destroyer.

Forty years ago, HMS Coventry was attacked by Argentinian jets during the Falklands conflict.

As a result, 19 died – with enemy jets also striking SS Atlantic Conveyor on the same day.

Chris Howe was a 25-year-old Petty Officer on HMS Coventry and was badly burned in the attack.
