GREEK NEWS 12 HOURS AGO Greek navy prevents Turkish warship from entering its waters (VIDEO) by PAUL ANTONOPOULOS

Despite the coronavirus raging out of control in Turkey, with over 65,000 cases and 1,400 deaths according to official data, it has not stopped its relenting aggression against Greece. Although the Turkish economy, that was already on the decline before the pandemic, is set to be even further battered, Ankara has shown that it has endless amounts of money its attempt to become a regional hegemon.
However, this ambition of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is failing to gather any steam as it attempts to invade Syria’s Idlib province, use jihadists as a proxy army in Libya and to flood Greece with illegal immigrants last month, have all spectacularly failed. This has not relented the daily air violations by Turkey on Greek airspace, nor its attempts to use ships to violate our waters.
On Monday, there was another blow to Erdoğan as Turkey attempted to violate Greece’s maritime border near the island of Kastellorizo.
The Aegean Hawk social media account says that the Turkish warship Kilic II – P334 TCG was close Greek territorial waters in Kastellorizo, but there was the GreekTPK P72 “VOTSIS”, where with clever maneuvers it prevented the Turks from illegal entering Greek waters.

A Turkish challenge is expected in the coming days in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean against Greece, as reported by Greek City Times.
Kastellorizo is the most isolated island in Greece as it lays 125 kilometers southeast of Rhodes, the next inhabited island, but only 2 kilometers from the Turkish coastal town of Kaş.

The tiny island of Kastollorizo has less than 500 inhabitants but a strong military presence because of the Turkish threat. Although it may be isolated from the rest of Greece, it is well defended by the Greek military.
