The German battleship "Scharnhorst",
together with her sister "Gneisenau" they managed to sink the British aircraft carrier HMS Glorious and both escorting destroyers. During that battle the Scharnhorst also managed to hit the HMS Glorious at a distance of 24km, making it the longest hit on a moving ship of the entire war.
