The Spanish Navy’s patrol vessel ‘Alborán’ set sail from Cartagena yesterday morning, August 25, towards the waters of Newfoundland, Canada.

The vessel will participate in the campaign to protect the fisheries of the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization – NAFO.
‘Alborán’ will join the campaign for a month and a half, after which it will return to its base in Cartagena on October 24.
During its mission, the vessel is scheduled to enter the port of Punta Delgada in S. Miguel Island – Azores and St. John’s in Canada.
