Just arrived after a long ride on a crowed mini-bus at Viang Vieng, Laos. The landscape in central Laos looks like someone took a piece of green velvet and draped it over pieces of erector set. Clouds float in front of impossibly steep mountains and the rivers rush through lush valleys, all the while passing scenes of remote village life.
