The third USS Proteus (AS-19) was a Fulton-class submarine tender in the United States Navy.

The large harbor tug USS Saco (YTB-796) maneouvers the U.S. Navy submarine tender USS Proteus (AS-19) into port at the U.S. Naval Base Guam on 24 May 1980.
