Sailors and Marines conduct a VBSS exercise with USNS Prevail (IX 537).


ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 4, 2021) A UH-1Y Venom helicopter attached to Marine Helicopter Light Attack Squadron (HMLA) 167 observes a visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) team from the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) preparing to board the Stalwart-class auxiliary general ocean surveillance ship USNS Prevail (IX 537) during a VBSS training exercise with the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), Dec. 4, 2021. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are underway conducting an Amphibious Ready Group/Marine Expeditionary Unit exercise.
