Royal Navy Type 45 destroyers HMS Defender and HMS Diamond have returned home to Portsmouth after being deployed on the Carrier Strike Group 21 (CSG21) mission.
The pair have been away for more than seven months, including operations in the Indo-Pacific.
Navy fleet flagship HMS Queen Elizabeth, which led the deployment, is due to sail into Portsmouth this afternoon, while HMS Kent will return on Friday.
