Recently, the Eastern Theater Command of the People Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) launched a practical training composed of Chaozhou and Quanzhou corvettes. The naval gun turned quickly and the radar was high. Following the commander's order, a round of shells roared out, accurately hitting a maritime target several nautical miles away.

The Eastern Theater Command is one of the five theater commands of the People's Liberation Army, founded on February 1, 2016; its predecessor was the Nanjing Military Region. The headquarters is located in Nanjing.
About Type 056 corvettes:
The Type 056 (NATO reporting name: Jiangdao) is a class of corvette deployed by the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). They replace older patrol craft and some of the Type 053H frigates. The first Type 056 entered service in February 2013. An anti-submarine warfare (ASW) variant, commonly known as Type 056A, has also entered service. Following construction of the Aba in December 2019, China ceased building of Type 056 corvettes to focus on procuring bigger warships for high sea missions.
The Type 056 corvette is the first Chinese modular warship that can be deployed as an offshore patrol vessel or a multi-role frigate. The vessel features a stealthy hull design, integrating sloped surface and compact superstructure.

The vessel, measuring 88.9 meters in length and 11.14 meters in draft, displaces 1,370 tons full load. Its CODAD propulsion system allows the ship to sail in excess of 25 knots, with an economic endurance of 2,000 nautical miles and a crew of 67 sailors.
The deck of the vessel can accommodate one rigid hull inflatable boat and four inflatable life-rafts packed in hard-shelled canisters. The helicopter deck at the stern can support a Harbin Z-9C light utility helicopter.

The Type 056 corvette incorporates a Type 360 air/surface search radar, Type 760 navigation radar, Type LR-66 fire control radar, Type 754 helicopter control and approach radar and a hull-mounted sonar.
The warship is also equipped with two jammers, decoy launchers, IR-17 optronics and a SITN240 SATCOM communication system.
On the combat systems side, the ship is fitted with an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) combat and communication suite, ASROC missiles, anti-submarine grenades, light torpedoes and a towed sonar, as well as a H/PJ-26 76mm main gun, two H PJ-17 30mm CIWS and one eight-tube HQ-10 missile launcher.
